The Great Ocean Road is one of the world's most spectacular coastlines, while the further east you go the more wilderness you will find. You will discover the Wilderness Coast which stretches from Wilsons Promontory to Gippsland. The east is also home to wild rives and forests of Errinundra, while the Snowy River offers picturesque mountains of the High Country and the Northwest offers desertlike national parks.

Other than great outdoors, Victoria offers great indoors. It is ampled with architectural wonders and grand buildings while theatres burst with talent and colourful state-of-the-art galleries. The state's Indigenous story serves as a subtext throughout, but it takes centre stage with rock art and creation stories at Gariwerd (the Grampians). Fast forward and the 19th-century gold rush left behind atmospheric old towns while the old Murray riverboat culture of Australia's pioneering days lives on in Mildura, Swan Hill and, especially, Echuca.
