Bali travel tips
- It gets crowded! If you’re planning days at tourist hot-spots, leave early so you can avoid traffic and have the place to yourself. .
- Don’t worry too much about Bali Belly. Chances are, you won't get sick. But if you do, there are plenty of chemists and you can get basic medication at your local 7-Eleven (on every corner!)
- Respect local customs. Dress modestly and practice appropriate behaviour at places of respect and religion.
- Avoid plastic water bottles if you can. Bali (and Indonesia) has a terrible plastic waste problem. Seek out cafes which offer free water refills.
- Some useful lingo:
Selamat pagi: (good morning)
